     A la source des musiques caribéennes, Nonalinians s'inspire des mouvements artistiques afro-américains, actifs dans la 2ème partie du XXème Siècle.

     Une formation rythmique - basse/batterie - qui perpétue le style roots/reggae, à laquelle s'ajoute une touche jazzy particulière au piano Fender. Une oeuvre dans la lignée des pionniers tel que J. Mittoo, E. Ranglin, M. Alexander, R. Rodriguez, D. Freazer ou C. Brooks. Une reconnaissance symbolisée par la présence de 2 standars U. S, Slipping into darkness (Dikerson, Miller, Allen) et It's a shame (S. Wonder), ré-interprétés par la crème des musiciens jamaïcains sur la compilation "Darker than blue" du label - Blood & Fire -

     La dimension intercontinentale transparaît dans l'hommage à la militante des droits de l'homme Rigoberta Menchu, prix Nobel de la paix 1992, native du Guatemala, Etat d'Amérique Centrale où la population indigène est majoritaire.
     Angola, fait référence à la situation politique du continent africain et à la guerre civile qui sévit depuis plus de trente ans dans cette ex-colonie portugaise.
     Cette session d'enregistrement se clôture sur Bandung en référence à la doctrine dite de la " 3ème voie " élaborée par le mouvement des pays non-alignés en 1965.

At the source of the Caribbean musics, Nonalinians is inspired by afro-American, active artistic movements in the 2nd part(party) of the XXth century.

     A rhythmic base - bass / drums - which immortalizes roots / reggae style, to whom is added the jazzy touch of the Fender piano. A work in the lineage of the pioneers such as J. Mittoo, E. Ranglin, Mr Alexander, R. Rodriguez, D. Freazer or C. Brooks.

     A gratitude symbolized by the presence of two US standars Slipping into darkness (Dikerson, Miller, Allen) and of   It'a shame (S Wonder), reinterpreted by the cream of the Jamaican musicians on " Darker than blue " on - Blood and Fire recordings -

     The intercontinental dimension shows through in the tribute to the activist of human rights Rigoberta Menchu, Nobel Peace Prize 1992, native of Guatemala, State of Central America where the native population is majority.
     Angola, made reference to the political situation of the African continent and to the civil war which rages for more than thirty years in this Portuguese ex-colony.
     This recording session ends on Bandung in reference to the said doctrine of the " 3rd way " elaborated by the movement of countries non-aligned in 1965.
